How much storage do I need?
50 GB for individual users + photos, 200 GB for small teams (3-5 people), 500 GB+ for extensive media files or backups from your laptop.
Can I migrate from Dropbox / Google Drive?
Yes. Nextcloud has the "External Storage" plugin that can import directly from Dropbox/Google Drive, or you use the web upload with drag-and-drop. We help via a migration ticket.
Do I have admin access?
Yes, fully. You can install apps, upload your own themes, run occ commands via SSH.
Is it faster than Google Drive?
In the DACH region: yes. NVMe SSDs + server location in Germany = low ping. For large files (>1 GB) we are comparable or faster.
Can I use Talk without a TURN server too?
Yes. We operate a managed TURN server for all Nextcloud customers, you don't have to configure anything.
What happens if I cancel?
You can export all data as a ZIP or download it via WebDAV/sync. We give you 7 days after cancellation. No vendor lock-in.
