PostgreSQL 14 single-instance cluster. PGDATA lives at /home/container/postgres_db so it backs up with the volume. PGPASSWORD is mandatory on first start; TCP auth uses md5 (matching the upstream egg). PGUSER and PGPASSWORD are operator-managed and intentionally not user-editable.
